Here’s What People Have to Say…

We are truly blessed to have had the opportunity to care for some amazing people since 2011!

One of our current residents will frequently stop and pray to give thanks for our home, and the loving care she receives. She prays for the Lord to look over all of us who care for her, including the dogs.

It’s moments like this, that make us truly know and appreciate that our care team is succeeding in not only giving family members peace of mind knowing their loved one is being cared for, but that our residents can feel the genuine affection around them on a daily basis.  We mean it when we say… We Open our Home and our Hearts.

Our Mom moved to Legacy Gardens Adult Family Home in Spokane two years ago. At the time she was 94 and in declining health. Prior to Legacy Gardens our Mom was in an assisted living facility and also a rehabilitation center, both in Spokane.  While they offered adequate care, both were more of an apartment than a home.  Legacy Gardens is much different – it was a home and had a loving family feeling. The staff was attentive, friendly, professional and each and every person had a servant’s heart. Kenda, Ryan and their entire staff were in a word “awesome”.

Just a month from turning 97 our Mom passed away. The Legacy Gardens staff and Hospice of Spokane worked together to provide a loving, dignified end-of-life experience. We were well informed regarding her care throughout her final days. Death in a family is never easy but we couldn’t have scripted a better ending to our Mother’s life. We will forever be grateful for the care provided by Legacy Gardens over the past two years. We recommend Legacy Gardens without reservations to any family wanting a safe, home-like environment staffed by a competent, compassionate and loving staff.

Five years ago I searched for not just a “place” for my parents but a “HOME” for them. Together, we found it at Legacy Gardens of Spokane.  My Dad immediately enjoyed the dignity of having a man in the house, and Mom felt a part of the activity, aromas and laughter of the kitchen. This felt like home.

Although Dad passed before Mom, he had great comfort in knowing he was leaving her in the loving hands of Kenda, Ryan and their special staff. She remained with them for the last 4 1/2 years of her life as she slowing succumbed to Alzheimer’s.  For those years I was always welcomed as a member of the family, and kept fully informed on all my parents concerns. Hospice of Spokane was a seamless partner in the end.  I will forever be grateful for the years of extremely competent care provided. My parents were LOVED and CARED for with JOY and DIGNITY and left behind great memories for me.
My mom lived at Legacy Gardens the last two and a half years of her life, as her daughter, I wanted to be sure she was in the safest, and most loving and caring environment possible.  I cannot say enough about the loving care she received from everyone there.  The entire staff are top notch, and they always treated me like family when I would come to visit my mom.  I would highly recommend Legacy Gardens to all families who are looking for “that very special place” for their loved one.

After being in one of Spokane’s “premier” assisted living facilities we moved our father to Legacy Gardens.  We were absolutely floored as to how much care and attention was being paid to him by the Legacy staff.  The food is outstanding and there is always someone right there if needed.

We considered Dad’s move to Legacy Gardens one of the smartest and kindest things we had done for him but more importantly, he absolutely loved it there.  After staying in his room for the previous two years, we found that he was out of his room and interacting with the other residents all the time.  The dedication of Ryan, Kenda and their entire staff is off the charts.  We would emphatically recommend Legacy Gardens to anyone who is looking for what we feel is the best facility in all of Spokane.

Professionalism with a caring personal touch describes Ryan and Kenda Bishop’s Legacy Gardens Adult Family Home. Our Mom moved to Legacy Gardens just over a year ago and the Legacy Garden staff has provided an awesome supportive experience for my Mom and our family. The little touches including making sure her hair and nails are cared for as well as the engaging environment give our family comfort that Mom is well cared for.  Ryan and Kenda are excellent communicators, experienced in delivering palliative care maximizing quality of life for residents.  Without reservation recommend consideration of Legacy Gardens of Spokane when a family member requires the support of an Adult Family Home.

We have had a client as a resident at Legacy Gardens of Spokane for the past few months.  Kenda and Ryan have done an outstanding job of working very compassionately and effectively with the family while keeping their focus on the needs and well being of our client.  Our client is now comfortable and exhibits a sense of security in their home.  We plan to refer any of our clients who may be looking into placing a loved one for end-of-life care to them because we know they will receive compassionate and competent care in their home.

Dear Kenda and Ryan, Thank you so much for the many extra things you both do.  I have a lot of fun.  I am grateful for people like you.  I hope you know that you bring much happiness to us as well as the excellent care you give us.  I do appreciate you and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Bea did not get to spend much time in your care.  Thank you for providing a serene place, surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere, during her last hours.  In December she mentioned she was going to get a cat of her own.  I know that when she entered your home, got to pet and love the kitty you bought just for her, she felt that was her kitty.  I know that filled her desire to own a cat and she was at peace.  Her small circle of friends thank you for the love and care you gave Bea.  You are special people.

After 20 years of Dad being able to take care of Mom’s needs at home, the decision had to be made for Mom’s escalating care needs during her remaining years.  I felt so fortunate for Mom and Dad that Kenda and Ryan were able to provide true hospice care at Legacy Gardens of Spokane.  They have created a home away from home for Mom.  It is an absolutely beautiful residential facility offering 24 hour care that is second to none.  Mom feels like a member of their family and she genuinely enjoys the attention.  With my being 3,000 miles away, Kenda and Ryan provide me great peace of mind, and they get my strongest recommendation!
